Why Buy This Property

LOCATION - The Copper Giant Mine is located in Section 36, Township 23 North, Range 13 West of the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian in Mohave County, Arizona. The Mohave County Assessor has the subject property on record as parcel 314-13-001.The property is located in a remote area of the Cottonwood Mountains about nine miles east-southeast of Hackberry, AZ. Arizona Highway 66 provides the easiest access to the region.

MINE ACCESS - Currently, the main shaft of the Copper Giant appears to be hundreds of feet deep. The main shaft is fenced in and is surrounded by a large dump of waste rock that shows green copper oxide weathering. A caved in adit is north of the main shaft at about the 100 foot level of the mine, which is fenced in. A timbered adit that extends into the hill for hundreds of feet is north of the main shaft, at about the 350 foot level of the mine, which is also fenced in. The adit at the 350 foot level has ore car tracks and a chute assembly that can be viewed from the jeep trail.

ANALYSIS - The ore reserves and mine plans were complied by geologist J.D. Schlottmann in a report from 1998 titled “Preliminary report on the feasibility of operating the Copper Giant Mine, Mohave County, Arizona”. Willard D. Pye, a registered geologist in Arizona, prepared another analysis on October 5, 1972 titled “Copper Giant Mine – Mohave County, AZ”

  • 94.164 acres
