John Weaver, CAI, CAE has in excess of forty years of senior level real estate marketing, auction, brokerage and 1031 exchange experience on a national level. Throughout his career, he has sold more than three billion dollars of real estate including commercial, residential, investment properties as well as ranches, farms and mineral rights. He has conducted more than 1,000 real estate auction events of commercial and residential properties throughout the United States resulting in the sale of thousands of properties.
His primary expertise is to determine the best method of marketing for a particular real estate situation and then to utilize a negotiated sale, auction marketing or 1031 exchange in order to achieve the highest return for his client.
In 1986, he co-founded Southwest Real Estate Auctioneers. Under John’s leadership Southwest Real Estate Auctioneers grew to become the dominant real estate auction firm in the region. John was also the chief strategist and lead auctioneer responsible for its subsidiary company, Allied Federal Auctioneers which focused on real estate auctions for federal, state and local government agencies producing sales of over $200 million for real estate assets in thirteen states. These multi-property auctions typically included between fifty to eleven hundred properties per event. He was responsible for overseeing all activities of both companies until selling his interest in 2007.
John’s expertise transcends real estate auctions. He has earned a national reputation as one of the the most effective and successful real estate strategists for the utilization of alternative real estate marketing methods whether it be an auction, the specialized techniques of real estate exchangors or negotiated sales. He is also an expert in the sale of mineral rights.
Throughout his career he has taught on a wide variety of real estate auction topics as well as 1031 real estate exchange techniques to real estate and auction trade associations at national and state real estate and auction conferences. He is a certified real estate continuing education instructor in Arizona and California. His passion is to share his knowledge of how to increase the efficiency and the results that can be achieved through the real estate auction and exchange industries. Since 2007, he remains active as an independent real estate broker, auctioneer, exchangor and consultant.
He is a certified auctioneer from the Missouri Auction School. A graduate of the National Marketing Institute of Indiana University, Certified Arizona Exchangor (CAE), and an Arizona Auctioneers Association bid calling champion.
He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Arizona Auctioneers Association, Certified Auctioneer’s Institute (CAI), the National Council of Real Estate Exchangors, and the Certified Arizona Exchangors.
As a decorated Vietnam veteran he remains involved as an active member of the Vietnam Dog Handlers Association. John is a life member of the Tucson Centurions a charitable organization with 100 of southwest Arizona’s most prominent business and civic leaders supporting a wide range of worthwhile charitable organizations and projects in Southern Arizona for the past forty-five years and donates his time to a number of community organizations as a benefit auctioneer.
