Mr. Ellman's mission is to evangelize the unique and timely benefits of the Fine & Company accelerated sales method throughout the commercial real estate community. He holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a ScB in applied mathematics and economics from Brown University and is a licensed California real estate broker.

Scott Ellman is executive managing director to Fine & Company. As a seasoned Silicon Valley marketing executive as well as a real estate auction industry veteran, Mr. Ellman brings a multi-faceted perspective to the company's mission of optimizing client outcomes through intelligent application of the auction method.

After graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University with a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics and economics, Mr. Ellman spent eight years at a leading national real estate auction firm in business development and operations, selling commercial and luxury residential properties on behalf of a wide variety of institutional and private clients. He managed auction programs that generated hundreds of millions of dollars in closings; spearheaded the industry's first nationwide multi-property offering; and marketed a wide range of real estate assets at auction, from a fully functional university campus to a landmark office tower in Chicago.

After completing his master of business administration at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Mr. Ellman entered the world of high technology as a marketing professional and assumed a series of managerial and executive positions at some of Silicon Valley's most dynamic enterprise software and hardware companies. Among his accomplishments in the high tech sector, he was responsible for marketing advanced visualization systems to many of the world's most demanding customers, including media conglomerates, automobile and aircraft manufacturers, biotech companies, and national governments worldwide; co-founded and headed up marketing at an Internet start-up; and served as a marketing executive at a pioneering "cloud computing" infrastructure provider both before and after the company's initial public offering.

Through his independent marketing consultancy, Mr. Ellman has focused on solving a wide range of marketing challenges faced by start-ups, established businesses and governmental entities, both in and out of high technology. Part of his practice is dedicated to helping Asian companies enter and thrive in US markets, a focus that has afforded him a network of business, financial and personal contacts throughout the region as well as a deep understanding of key Asian business cultures.

Whether in high technology or real estate, Mr. Ellman believes that marketing is a two-step process: accurately identify the client's problem, then design and implement a solution that is optimal in terms of outcome, time and cost. Mr. Ellman brings a passion for this view of marketing-as-problem solving to his role at Fine & Company, where he evangelizes the unique and timely benefits of the company's accelerated sales method for today's sellers and buyers of commercial and luxury residential real estate.
